what a monday.

im a firm believer that my week is heavily dependent on how my monday kicks off. superstitious or all in the mind?

scrambled out of bed at 9am for my supposedly 10am meeting with my supervisor. meant to stay in uni for another couple hours after that anyways to catch up some readings. turned out my supervisor thought the meeting was for 11am and he came late. he said to just come in at 1130am. when i went up again, he had left for some home emergency.

between that, i checked my emails and found that i didn't get an interview for these positions i applied in Singapore and KL :( Apparently, there were many applicants for it. tried to make myself feel better by saying, they did say they prefer locals.

met up with few friends as well to discuss our term paper. over the weekend, i prepared about 19-21 journals for me to read and prepare on. i thought that was plenty enough to keep me busy over the week. turned out, the lecturer wants at least 30 references. and this is for a 2500 word term paper worth 100% of our final grade.

its only monday and by midday, my day wasnt going well. oh. i have forgotten to mention that my bus driver told me off as well early in the morning for not preparing my bus ticket as i went on the bus. yeah.

1230pm. finally get to meet up with my supervisor. he said my chapter 3 was alright, readable and followed through well. just a little editting needed. yaay, i thought!

then he said, 'by the way, HUIADA (pronounced hu-ya-da), you know how the due date for the final draft is 27th?'

me : yeah. which i was thinking if i could extend with your permission?
him: extend? but why? you only have chapter 4 to do. and chapter 5 is just conclusion.
me : emm. it turned out i have lots of readings to do.
him: no no no. you are doing well. i have seen your resources. you can finish it sooner.
me : okay. i'll try to give it to you by the weekend before 27th or 27th the latest.
him: no no no. i want to read it by friday.
me : so i email it to you on friday?
him: no no no. email it to me on thursday so i can go through it with you on friday.

frustrated i was. continued to do some more readings then went back just in time for zuhur. checked my uni email and found a reply from another place i was applying to (name will be witheld until i know whether im getting it or not). they said they will get back to me as soon as possible. everything is fine and its just that one thing that is bothering them. i dont know whether to give in or not.

hope the week will bring me better new- amin.
